A West Ham "Hard Man" Squad!
Chosen from only players I have seen live. A few nutters in here but also those who put a foot in and were brave sometimes too brave like Patsy Holland. Not sure if I've made a ricket leaving out Lampard Senior!

Would have to be a 352 with wing backs!

1 Phil Parkes
2 Ray Stewart
3 Julian Dicks
4 Stuart Pearce
5 Neil Ruddock
6 Alvin Martin
7 Martin Allen
8 Billy Bonds
9 John Hartson
10 David Cross
11 Steve Lomas

12 Tomas Repka
13 Pat Holland
14 Mark Ward
15 Frank McAvennie
16 Scott Parker

Pretty good, zico. Lampard senior on the bench in place of Scott Parker perhaps.

Lawrie LESLIE, John BOND, Andy MALCOLM,
John MONCUR, Paul ALLEN, Keith ROBSON,
Christian BASSILAS, Mal MUSGROVE Are all worthy of a squad call up.

Didn't take long for someone soft in the head to turn up.

Can't we have at least one thread on this forum, a football one at that, where we don't have a pop at each other!

Re: A West Ham "Hard Man" Squad!
A "Weaklings" or "Soft Men" squad would be interesting too.

Johnny Ayris, Kevin Keen, Matty Etherington, Alan Stephenson as starters. Merv in goal, Tommy Mcqueen, David Connolly up front just a few candidates :-)

David Kelly!

Re: A West Ham "Hard Man" Squad!
Cannot see Keith Robson on the list ( or may have missed it :-( ) .

Proper nutcase. Lamps senior and the team at that time thought he was a bit unhinged. Liked a good fight off the pitch alledgedly

Thanks Zico.

The senility kicking in again :-)

Don't necessarily disagree, but says a lot that Repka only makes the bench.

20 red cards, fraud, fakely pimped his wife online as revenge, fraud, jail... Bloke's a psychopath!

Sir Alf 4:34 Wed Apr 15

Yeah Keith Robson would have been in but I never saw him live. Same with Sir Geoff Hurst. Barrel chested and you had to be tough up front back then but again I never saw him play.

geoffpikey - Yeah see what you mean but I just never liked the bloke at all. Dicksy was a liability but made up for it in many ways with goals and assists, but I can't think of much Repka did that was positive!

Les SEALEY as sub goalie?

Re: A West Ham "Hard Man" Squad!
Err, boogers? Literally the only thing he did for us was an insane tackle and get sent off

And Basilla for THAT crunching tackle

Also honourable mention for Carl Fletcher just for his comment to Lampard after taking him out with a superb challenge...

As said I'd add Moncur to that squad.

Could you remind me of the comment to Lampard

Something to smile about this afternoon for people like me who have forgotten :-)

zico 5:34 Wed Apr 15
Re: A West Ham "Hard Man" Squad!
Yeah me too I've forgotten it!

Incredible isn't it, over 100 years as a football Club and we have probably had around 20 people who could put a foot in! West Ham a soft touch?!
